The Mia® breast harmonisation procedure is suitable if you wish to harmonise the volume of your breasts while respecting the proportions of your body.

How does the MIA breast harmonisation procedure work?
Mia Femtech™ offers injectable breast implants that are extremely flexible, allowing them to be inserted using a minimally invasive procedure and without the need for a general anaesthetic. Made from the latest-generation silicone gel, this type of implant thus allows you to increase by 1 or 2 cups while obtaining a discreet and natural result.
The MIA breast harmonisation procedure takes around 90 minutes (including 15 minutes of surgery). Here’s how the procedure works:
- Preparing the patient for the operation. This includes disinfecting the incision area under the arm and administering a local anaesthetic to ensure comfort throughout the operation.
- Insertion of the dilatation balloon. This medical device is designed to create a space between the pectoral muscle and the mammary gland in a minimally invasive way. The aim is to gently separate the breast tissue without cutting it, so as to preserve it and minimise trauma. The mammary gland and pectoral muscle remain intact, limiting post-operative pain.
- Fitting the injector. This is a device connected to a compressed air system. This allows the surgeon to inject the implants into the space created by the balloon. This process takes less than 5 seconds and causes no pain. Thanks to the flexibility of the implant and this injector, only a discreet scar of 2 to 3 cm remains under the armpit.
- Positioning the implants. The implants are positioned painlessly in front of the pectoral muscle and behind the mammary gland. This surgical technique gives a very natural result. The implants have a rounded, biconvex shape with a smooth envelope. This biconvex configuration makes it possible to increase breast volume more significantly while using smaller implants than traditional breast surgery.
